Stolen Mount TryHackme

Introduction

Hi all in this entry, we will be using wireshark to analyze a pcap file and using decrypt online hashes tool to decrypt md5 hashes.

1) Filtering

As said in the clue it mentioned about NFS server, so we will filter the protocol by typing NFS on the display filter bar.

2) Go through the streams (1)

this method might be tiring, and there might be a better method to search for something suspicious, let me know in the comment.

As we go through the streams 214, we can see there is a password given.

we copy and paste it on hashes.com to decrypt it.

Delete the unnecessary part until we get only this md5 hashes

and after we run it, we got the avengers as password

3) Go through the streams (2)

As we go through the stream 286, we can see there is a secret.png file in the stream so we can export and save it on our dekstop.

as we expected, when we try to decrypt/eextract the file, it prompt for password, which is the "avengers" we got before.

Scan this qr using your phone, or any online scanning tools, and then we get the flag.
